Capacite Infraprojects Limited was initially formed as a Private Limited Company at Mumbai by the name of Capacite Infraprojects Private Limited on August 9, 2012. The company was duly registered with the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra. Subsequently, the company shifted its status from a private to a public company and formally replaced its name from Capacite Infraprojects Private Limited to Capacite Infraprojects limited and obtained a new Certificate of Incorporation dated March 21, 2014.

The firm is a specialist in the construction of super high-rise and high-rise residential, commercial, and institutional buildings, including super-specialty hospitals. It offers turnkey construction services for different types of buildings like:

  • Affordable Housing Project at Panvel (2017): On 6 November 2017, the company bagged a ₹825.01 crore contract (excluding GST) from Arihant Abode Ltd., an Arihant Superstructures Limited subsidiary, for an affordable housing project in Maharashtra's Panvel. The project consisted of civil, structural, finishing, and MEP works for eight residential towers, each of 42 floors.

  • BDD Chawls Redevelopment Project (2018): onsortium of Tata Projects Limited and CITIC Construction Co. Ltd., led by Capacite Infraprojects, was awarded a Letter of Acceptance on June 22, 2018, by MHADA for a ₹11,744.26 crore contract. Capacite Infraprojects has a stake of 37.1% in the project worth ₹4,357.12 crore. The project encompasses technical design, infrastructure development, residential and commercial building construction, and regulatory approvals for redevelopment of BDD Chawls at Worli, Mumbai.

  • Repeat Orders (2018):  On June 27, 2018, repeat orders were received by the company from Oberoi Realty Group, Wadhwa Group, and Kohinoor CTNL Infrastructure Company Private Limited, totaling ₹851.13 crore.

On December 24, 2017, the company issued a statement clarifying that Capacite Infraprojects Limited and Capacite Structure Limited are completely independent entities under different managements. This was in response to media reports regarding CBI actions against officials of NBCC and Capacite Structures Limited.

On January 16, 2018, India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) upgraded Capacite Infraprojects’ Long-Term Issuer Rating from IND A- to IND A, with a Stable Outlook. The proceeds from the IPO were intended for working capital requirements and capital asset purchases.
