HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd, popularly known as HDFC AMC, is one of the leading asset management companies in India operating in the financial services sector. The company primarily deals in mutual funds and portfolio management services. As of the end of Q3FY25, the company manages a large number of equity, hybrid, and debt mutual funds catering to a vast array of investors with different risk appetites and investment horizons. It is also involved in the management of exchange-traded funds and segregated accounts.
HDFC AMC reported total income of ₹1027.72 crores in Q3FY25, which marks a 2.9% decrease from the Q2FY25 figure of ₹1058.19 crores. However, when compared to the same quarter of the previous year (Q3FY24), the company exhibited a strong growth of 26.2%, as the total income during that period was ₹814.17 crores. This signifies a robust year-over-year growth in revenue, despite the minor quarter-over-quarter dip.
The company's Profit Before Tax (PBT) for Q3FY25 stood at ₹839.85 crores, down by 2.2% from ₹858.41 crores in Q2FY25. However, on a YoY basis, the PBT saw a substantial rise of 31.9% from ₹636.83 crores in Q3FY24. In Q3FY25, the total expenses were ₹187.87 crores, a 6.0% decrease from the previous quarter (Q2FY25) where the expenses stood at ₹199.78 crores. When compared to Q3FY24 (₹177.34 crores), the expenses saw a rise of 5.9% YoY. The Earnings Per Share (EPS) for Q3FY25 was ₹29.90, which is an 11.2% improvement from the previous quarter and a 31.1% increase YoY. This implies enhanced earnings for shareholders.
