Key Changes in Contract Note & Ledger (Effective April 1, 2025)

We’re introducing key upgrades to enhance clarity, transparency, and security in your trading experience.

📌 Contract Note Enhancements
  • One Consolidated Contract Note – All segments (Equity, F&O, and Commodities) in a single note.

  • Trade-Level Breakdown – All information will be shown at the individual trade level, instead of script level.

  • Updated Taxable Value of Supply – Now includes Brokerage, Exchange Transaction Charges & SEBI Turnover Fees.

  • Secure PDF Format – Contract notes will be password-protected (Use PAN in uppercase, without spaces).

  • Contract Note cum Bill – No separate Derivative Bill; all details, including B/F positions, are now within the contract note.

📌 Ledger Enhancements
  • Margin & MTM Entries Now Posted on T+1 – Previous day margin debits will be reversed and displayed.

  • MTF Ledger Introduced – A new dedicated MTF ledger will show Margin Trading Facility transactions separately from the regular ledger.

  • Ledger Format Update – The "Trade Date" field is now "Date" for better alignment with posting cycles.

📌 Debit/Credit Notes – More Structured
  • Simplified Format – Offers greater visibility into charges and adjustments.

  • No Changes to Other Reports – All other formats & statements remain unchanged.

What You Should Do?

As these changes go live around the financial year-end, we recommend reviewing and recording your funds and securities balances as on March 31 and April 1, 2025, for smooth reconciliation.

Why These Changes?

These enhancements are part of our transition to a new advanced back-office system, offering:

  • Faster & more accurate processing
  • Improved transparency in reporting
  • A streamlined post-trade experience
